SMDV Honey Comb Grid 165mm 10DEG For RSTN165

SMDV Honey Comb Grid 165mm 10DEG For RSTN165 | Keep light within a narrow 10° spread

When light spreads farther than you want, it can be hard to keep it on the part of a scene you mean to illuminate. This SMDV honeycomb grid is a 165mm accessory for the RSTN165, with a 10-degree angle designation. A honeycomb grid is used to direct light into a tighter spread, so this version suits photographers who want more control over where the RSTN165’s light falls. The 10° marking makes its intended use clear: choose it when a narrow pool of light is the goal, rather than broad coverage. It’s a specific accessory for a specific RSTN165 setup, not a general-purpose reflector screen. The honest trade-off is that a narrow spread calls for deliberate placement; it won’t give you the same broad coverage as a wider beam. If that’s the control you’re after, this grid gives you a clear, defined angle to work with.

Choosing the 10° grid

The angle is the key detail here. A 10-degree grid is aimed at keeping the light concentrated, which can help when you want to separate an area from its surroundings or avoid throwing light across a wider part of the scene. Think about the size of the area you want lit and how precisely you need to place the light before choosing this option. It’s most relevant when controlling spill matters more than covering a broad area. The 165mm size and the stated RSTN165 designation also make the intended pairing easy to identify when you’re selecting an accessory. Keep the name to hand when comparing options: the product is specifically described for the RSTN165, and its 10° angle is the defining detail. For a setup where tight direction is the priority, those two details tell you what this grid is meant to do.
