Tiffen FW3GG2 Filter Wheel 3 Glimmerglass 2
Tiffen FW3GG2 Filter Wheel 3 Glimmerglass 2 | A clearly identified Glimmerglass filter option
The look you’re choosing here is clearly named: Glimmerglass 2, in Tiffen’s Filter Wheel 3 designation. This product suits someone selecting a specific Tiffen filter component for a setup where those exact names matter, rather than shopping for an unspecified filter. Its main strength is that clear identification: the title tells you which Filter Wheel and Glimmerglass version you’re looking at, making it easier to keep a kit list or planned setup consistent. If you’ve been asked for this particular item, those details give you a precise starting point. The name alone doesn’t tell the whole story of how it will render a scene, so I wouldn’t promise a particular highlight, contrast or skin effect from the title. Treat it as a specifically named filter choice, and match it to the Glimmerglass 2 requirement in your workflow.
Specialist Note
3 is part of the Filter Wheel 3 designation, so in practice it’s the detail I’d use to distinguish this named item when you’re checking a kit list or discussing a setup. The 2 in Glimmerglass 2 matters just as much: keep that grade in the name when you’re sourcing the particular filter you’ve been asked to use. I’d point this out to anyone ordering from a written equipment list, or organising filter choices for a planned production. It’s a precise product name, not a description of the look you’ll get in every scene; I’d match the exact designation to your intended setup rather than guess from the title alone.
