Tilta ES-T20-C-V Camera Cage For Sony FX6 Vertical Mounting Kit - V Mount
Tilta ES-T20-C-V Camera Cage For Sony FX6 Vertical Mounting Kit - V Mount | Build around vertical FX6 framing
What sets this Tilta kit apart is its focus on vertical mounting for the Sony FX6, rather than a general cage setup. It’s for FX6 owners who want to build their camera around portrait-format shooting, such as vertical interviews or social video. The V Mount designation also gives your rig plan a specific mounting format to work around. A cage is most helpful when the camera needs a more deliberate physical setup; here, the emphasis is on arranging that setup for vertical use. That makes the kit relevant to productions where portrait framing is part of the brief, not an occasional crop after filming. If your work stays in landscape orientation, this specialised approach may be more than you need. For the right FX6 setup, though, it keeps vertical framing at the centre of the build.
Specialist Note
New FX6 owners can underestimate how much a portrait-oriented build changes the way they plan a camera rig. This kit is specifically for vertical mounting, so it suits anyone who needs to compose portrait video with the FX6 itself turned for that format. For a vertical interview, set the camera in the intended orientation before you frame your subject; that keeps your composition aligned with the finished image. The V Mount version is a detail to factor into your rig plan from the start, rather than treating it as a generic cage. It’s a focused option, and I’d choose it for regular vertical work rather than a setup used mainly for landscape filming.
