Tilta ES-T20-QRBP Quick Release Baseplate For Sony FX6 | Added support for handheld video

Tilta ES-T20-QRBP Quick Release Baseplate For Sony FX6 is a quick-release baseplate for building a Sony FX6 shoulder-rig setup. It’s intended for video makers who work handheld and want extra support for the camera. That makes it relevant for interviews, event coverage and other filming where you’re operating the camera rather than leaving it locked off on a tripod. The quick-release design is useful when you need to take the camera off the baseplate between setups, instead of treating the rig as a fixed arrangement. Its purpose is specific: supporting handheld video work with the FX6. If that’s how you shoot, this is a focused rig component to consider; it isn’t a general-purpose tripod head or a complete filming kit. Think of it as part of the camera’s support setup, chosen for the way you work on a shoot.

Specialist Note

For filmmakers covering interviews, events or scenes on the move with a Sony FX6, this baseplate is aimed at a practical need: more support when working handheld. The quick-release design matters if your filming alternates between a shoulder-rig setup and other camera arrangements; it gives you a way to release the camera from the baseplate rather than leaving it fixed there. For a seated interview, use the shoulder-rig configuration when you need to reposition between takes; for moving coverage, it suits operators who want extra support while following the action. Its role is focused on handheld work, so I’d still use a tripod when the shot needs to stay locked off.
