Tilta TF-OP3-VND Variable ND Filter For DJI Osmo Pocket 3 ND2-ND32
Tilta TF-OP3-VND Variable ND Filter For DJI Osmo Pocket 3 ND2-ND32 | Better exposure in bright light
Keep bright scenes under control without giving up your chosen video exposure. The Tilta TF-OP3-VND is a variable neutral density filter made for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. It reduces the light reaching the camera, and its variable design lets you adjust that reduction as conditions change. That’s useful outdoors, where moving from shade into sunshine can quickly make a scene too bright, or when you want to keep a consistent shutter speed while filming. It suits Pocket 3 owners who record in changing daylight and want more say over exposure than the camera’s settings alone may offer. An ND filter doesn’t add light or brighten a dim scene; its job is to cut incoming light. For indoor filming or low-light scenes, you may not need that extra reduction.
Specialist Note
ND2 to ND32 gives you roughly one to five stops of light reduction, so you can make a small adjustment or cut much more light when the sun is strong. For the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, that’s handy when you want to keep a natural-looking motion blur in daylight video: at 25 fps, you could aim for a shutter speed around 1/50 sec, then use the filter to help manage exposure. I’d consider it for outdoor walks, bright street scenes or filming beside a sunny window. Its limit is straightforward: at ND32, it can’t reduce light beyond its maximum, and in dim conditions you’ll likely want to remove the ND effect.
