Tilta TK-IP-ND24-B Khronos Magnetic FSND 2.4 Filter For iPhone - Black
Tilta TK-IP-ND24-B Khronos Magnetic FSND 2.4 Filter For iPhone - Black | Add light control to iPhone scenes
The magnetic design is the defining choice: it lets you attach and remove this filter without dealing with a screw-on filter thread. Tilta made it for iPhone use, giving mobile photographers and filmmakers a way to reduce the light reaching the camera when the scene is bright. That can help when you want more control over exposure in daylight, rather than letting strong light dictate your settings. The FSND 2.4 designation identifies the filter’s strength, while the Khronos name places it within Tilta’s magnetic iPhone filter range. It’s a focused accessory for people who want to shape their iPhone images in-camera, especially for outdoor video or photographs where managing bright light matters. It won’t change your phone’s exposure settings for you; you’ll still need to set those to suit the scene.
Using the filter
For daylight video, decide on the shutter look you want using your capture controls, then use the filter to bring the exposure under control. For a still image with movement in the scene, reducing light can also give you room to use a slower shutter setting. The filter is one part of that process: you’ll need to make the exposure choices yourself, and the result depends on the light and your settings.
Specialist Note
If you shoot outdoor iPhone video or stills in strong daylight, this filter is aimed at the part of exposure that a bright scene can make difficult to manage. The magnetic attachment makes it practical to add or remove the filter as the light changes, rather than leaving it in place for every scene. Its 2.4 strength gives you a defined amount of light reduction to work with; set your preferred exposure first, then use the filter to help reach it. I’d consider it for daylight motion shots as well as video where you want a slower shutter effect. It won’t choose settings for you, so it pairs best with a workflow where you can control exposure.
