Ulanzi HP-013 Star Filter 52mm For MagFilter System
Ulanzi HP-013 Star Filter 52mm For MagFilter System | Give point lights a star effect
Turn small points of light into star-shaped highlights for a more graphic look in night scenes, city lights and festive displays. The Ulanzi HP-013 Star Filter 52mm For MagFilter System is a 52mm star filter made for use with the MagFilter System. It suits photographers who want to shape the way bright lights appear in a frame, rather than leave them as plain points. Try it with decorative lights or illuminated signs: keep those bright sources visible in your composition and let the filter give them a star effect. The result depends on having distinct light points to work with, so it’s most useful in scenes where those highlights are part of the picture. This is a focused creative accessory, not a general-purpose filter for every subject. If you enjoy adding a deliberate visual touch to light-filled scenes, it gives you a simple way to do that within the MagFilter System.
Specialist Note
Bright lights can be little more than dots in a picture, and this filter gives you a way to make them part of the composition. The 52mm size is the key detail to keep in mind when choosing how it fits into your setup; it’s intended for the MagFilter System. I’d use it for a night street scene or a frame of festive lights, arranging the small bright sources so they’re easy to see and letting the star effect draw attention to them. It suits someone who wants a visibly stylised result, rather than a neutral rendering of every light. One limitation: without distinct bright points in the scene, there’s little for the filter to transform.
