Ulanzi UA20 20W RGB Air Tube Light w/ Battery

Ulanzi UA20 20W RGB Air Tube Light w/ Battery | Add colour to a scene with a tube light

A splash of colour in the background, or a coloured accent on your subject, can change the feel of a shot. The Ulanzi UA20 is a 20W RGB air tube light with a battery, made for photographers and video makers who want a coloured light source they can use beyond a fixed studio setup. RGB gives you coloured light to work into portraits, product images or video scenes; the tube format offers a different look from a conventional light. Its battery makes it easier to plan a setup where access to a nearby socket is inconvenient. That’s useful when you’re moving between locations or want to try a light placement away from your usual work area. The honest point: the title tells us the core idea, but not the controls or exact battery details, so this is best judged as a straightforward RGB tube light rather than a kit with assumed extras.

Colour as part of the frame

Use the UA20 when you want colour to be visible in the image, rather than relying on a neutral light alone. A coloured accent can help separate a subject from a background, give a product shot a distinct mood, or add atmosphere to a video scene. Those are creative uses, not preset effects: the look comes down to where you place the light and how you frame the shot. The tube shape also gives you a different way to position a light source in a scene than a standard lamp head. Think about the result you want before setting up: a wash in the background reads differently from a small patch of colour on a subject. The 20W rating identifies the light’s power, while the battery points to use away from a fixed power point. If you’re choosing a light specifically for a shoot, consider whether an RGB tube suits the look you’re after.
