Urth 55mm Essentials Filter Kit Pro (UV CPL ND8 ND1000)
Urth 55mm Essentials Filter Kit Pro (UV CPL ND8 ND1000) | Shape light and tame reflections
Control reflections, soften bright daylight and make room for longer exposures with a four-filter set. The Urth 55mm Essentials Filter Kit Pro (UV CPL ND8 ND1000) brings together a UV filter, a CPL polarising filter and two neutral density options, ND8 and ND1000. It suits photographers whose lens takes 55mm filters and who want a few different ways to manage light without relying on editing alone. Use the CPL to reduce reflections on water or glass, then turn to an ND filter when the light is too strong for the shutter speed you want. ND8 is the more moderate option; ND1000 gives a much stronger reduction for long-exposure effects in daylight. The kit’s strength is that range: it covers several common situations in one 55mm size. Just make sure that size matches the lens you plan to use.
Specialist Note
The 55mm size makes this set a straightforward match for a lens with a 55mm filter thread; it won’t suit a lens with a different thread size. I’d use the CPL when reflections are distracting in a shop window or across water, turning it until the reflection is reduced. For a daylight long exposure, ND1000 is the stronger option; ND8 is better when you need a gentler cut in light. That difference gives the kit a practical range rather than one filter doing every job. It’s a good fit if you already know your lens takes 55mm filters and want both reflection control and neutral-density options.
