VAXIS Amaranth Camera Body Cap For RF EF PL Mount Random Colour w/ Lanyard
VAXIS Amaranth Camera Body Cap For RF EF PL Mount Random Colour w/ Lanyard | Cover an open mount and keep the cap close
An uncovered camera mount is easy to leave exposed when you take a body out of a working setup. This VAXIS Amaranth body cap gives you a simple way to cover that opening when a lens isn’t attached. It’s made for camera bodies with RF, EF or PL mounts, so it suits photographers and camera crews working with those systems who need a cap between lens changes or while a body is stored. The included lanyard gives the cap a way to stay close at hand, rather than becoming another small item to search for in a kit bag. Its colour is random, so you won’t be choosing a particular shade. This is a straightforward bit of kit: useful when a compatible body is temporarily without a lens, but it isn’t a replacement for a lens or any other camera accessory.
Specialist Note
For a two-body setup, I’d keep one cap assigned to the body that’s between lenses, so its open mount has a cover while you work. The RF, EF and PL mount options make this relevant to crews using those camera systems; just match the cap to the body’s mount. The lanyard is the detail I’d appreciate most during a lens change, because it gives the cap a way to stay close instead of becoming a loose item on the work surface. Do bear in mind that the colour is random, so you can’t choose a specific one to match or identify your kit. It’s a focused accessory, not a lens-change tool.
