Viltrox AF 56mm f/1.7 Fuji X Silver

Viltrox AF 56mm f/1.7 Fuji X Silver | Portraits with pleasing background separation

Portraits with a composed, flattering perspective are the main reason to choose the Viltrox AF 56mm f/1.7 Fuji X Silver. This autofocus standard prime is made for Fujifilm X cameras with APS-C sensors. Its 56mm focal length gives you room to frame a face without crowding your subject, and the bright f/1.7 maximum aperture helps soften the background and work in available light. It’s well suited to portraits at home, outdoors or at family gatherings, and can also bring a more deliberate look to everyday details. If you enjoy choosing your framing rather than relying on a zoom, this compact focal-length idea is easy to build a style around. The silver finish gives the lens a distinctive look on your camera, too.

Key details

• 28° angle of view: a relatively tight view that keeps attention on your subject.
• Autofocus: helps you keep portraits moving without having to focus manually.
• Silver finish: a visible alternative to an all-black lens.

Framing portraits

Give your subject a little space, then adjust your position until the background sits where you want it in the frame. A clean, uncluttered backdrop makes the most of the lens’s portrait-friendly view. For a close portrait, keep the focus on the eye nearest the camera; for a looser frame, take a step back and include more of the setting.
