3 Legged Thing QR Ultra 300mm X 38mm Arca Compatible Long Plate Copper
3 Legged Thing QR Ultra 300mm X 38mm Arca Compatible Long Plate Copper | Extra room to position your setup
Without a long plate, there’s less room to position a camera setup on a tripod head. The 3 Legged Thing QR Ultra is a tripod accessory for photographers who need that extra space when mounting their camera. Its long format gives you more room to work with than a compact plate, which can be helpful when a camera and lens need careful positioning on a support. It’s aimed at photographers who regularly use a tripod and want more flexibility in where their setup sits, rather than a small plate that keeps the mounting area short. The copper finish gives the plate a distinct look in your kit. It’s a straightforward accessory with a specific job: provide a longer mounting surface for positioning a camera setup on a tripod.
Specialist Note
“Will the QR Ultra give me room to balance a longer setup?” Yes: at 300 mm long, it gives you a substantial range for positioning your camera on an Arca-compatible head. For a long-lens setup, adjust its position until it sits comfortably balanced before you lock the head; for tripod landscape work, that extra length gives you more scope to place the camera where the framing needs it. The 38 mm width keeps the plate’s profile relatively narrow, while still giving you a clear mounting strip to work with. I’d point this towards photographers who genuinely need the added reach. One trade-off: a 300 mm plate takes more space in your bag than a short one.
