7Artisans 6mm f/2.0 - Fujifilm X-Mount - Black

7Artisans 6mm f/2.0 - Fujifilm X-Mount - Black | A sweeping view for wide, deliberate compositions

The 7Artisans 6mm f/2.0 - Fujifilm X-Mount - Black is an ultra-wide prime for Fujifilm X cameras, with a 134° angle of view. It's built for photographers who want a lot of the scene in frame, especially landscape, architecture and night-sky work. On an APS-C sensor, this very short focal length gives you room to include a broad skyline or a full building façade when space is tight. It can also bring foreground details into a composition alongside distant scenery, making careful placement of the camera especially rewarding. The lens uses manual focus, so it suits photographers who prefer to set focus themselves rather than rely on autofocus. Its wide view calls for considered framing: nearby objects can take over quickly, while details at the edges need attention. For expansive scenes and close, graphic compositions, it gives Fujifilm X users a distinctly wide perspective.

Working with an ultra-wide view

For architecture, keep the camera level when you want walls and doorways to look upright; tilting up or down can make vertical lines converge. In a landscape, try placing a recognisable detail in the near foreground, then build the distant view around it. That gives the frame a clear point of entry instead of letting a broad scene feel empty. Small changes in your position can noticeably alter the balance.
