7Ryms SR-PF-L 360° Adjustable Microphone Pop Filter Large
7Ryms SR-PF-L 360° Adjustable Microphone Pop Filter Large | Tame plosives while recording
The 7Ryms SR-PF-L 360° Adjustable Microphone Pop Filter Large combines a large pop-filter format with full-circle adjustment for spoken or sung recordings. It’s made for podcasters, voice-over artists and vocalists who want to soften the sharp bursts of air that can hit a microphone when they pronounce sounds such as “p” and “b”. Position the filter between yourself and the microphone, then adjust its angle to suit your speaking or singing position. The large format gives you a broader area to work behind, which can be handy if you move your head a little while talking or performing. This is a straightforward accessory for home recording, interviews or a voice booth: it addresses plosive pops at the microphone, rather than changing the sound of the room or the character of your voice. It’s most useful when close-miking makes those bursts more noticeable.
Specialist Note
For people recording a podcast at a desk or singing close to a microphone, this 7Ryms filter is a practical way to manage plosive bursts. The large format gives you some latitude if your position shifts as you speak; place the filter between your mouth and the mic, rather than trying to aim your breath past it. Its 360° adjustment lets you set the filter’s angle around your recording position, which is useful when the microphone isn’t directly in front of you. I’d still keep a little distance from the mic and speak across it where possible: a pop filter helps, but it can’t correct every burst or a noisy room. It’s focused on one job, and that’s a sensible fit for voice recording.
