7Ryms UC-LN OTG Digital Audio Cable Lightning-USB-C 60cm | A short link for digital audio

Connecting digital-audio equipment with different sockets can leave you searching for the right cable before you can even start recording. The 7Ryms UC-LN OTG provides a Lightning-to-USB-C connection in one 60 cm cable, for a compact link between equipment with those connections. It’s aimed at people making recordings with a nearby device and an audio accessory, rather than anyone who needs a long cable run across a room. That short length can help keep a desk or small recording setup neat, with less spare cable to gather up. Use it when your equipment supports digital audio over the relevant connections; the cable’s role is to make the physical connection, not to add recording controls or extend the distance between devices. For interviews, voice notes or other spoken-word recordings, it’s a straightforward option when your two pieces of equipment sit close together.

Specialist Note

At 60 cm, this won’t suit a setup where you need to place your recording device far from your audio equipment; the reason to choose it is that it keeps a close setup simple. The Lightning and USB-C ends give you a direct link between those two connection types for digital audio. For a spoken interview, keep the Lightning device and USB-C audio accessory side by side, then route the cable between them without leaving a long loop on the desk. It can also suit a desk-based voice recording, provided both pieces support digital audio over their connections. I’d pick it when a short, tidy connection matters more than extra reach.
