ACT 3m DisplayPort Cable Male - DisplayPort Male Power

ACT 3m DisplayPort Cable Male - DisplayPort Male Power | A three-metre DisplayPort connection

The defining choice is the 3m length: it gives a DisplayPort connection extra reach when the screen and its source aren’t right beside one another. The ACT cable has a male DisplayPort connector at each end, so it’s intended to link equipment with matching DisplayPort sockets. That makes it a straightforward option for a desk or workstation where a shorter lead would constrain where you can place the connected devices. You can route the cable around a desk or behind furniture, with three metres to work with. There’s no complicated setup described here; the key things to consider are the connection type and the distance between your two devices. It’s a simple cable, and its value is in that clear combination of length and DisplayPort connectors.

Where this cable fits

Use it when both ends of your connection need DisplayPort and you want a cable with male plugs at both ends. The 3m length can give you more flexibility in arranging the connected equipment than a very short lead, though the right amount of cable depends on your own layout. Measure the route between the devices, including any path around a desk or stand, rather than judging the gap in a straight line. That’s the practical detail that matters most here: enough length to reach without choosing a cable on the assumption that every setup is the same. The product name also includes “Power”; beyond that name, the useful points to identify are the 3m length and the male-to-male DisplayPort connection.
