ACT 4K HDMI 1.4 Extender Set Over CAT6 UTP w/ IR Support 40 Meters

ACT 4K HDMI 1.4 Extender Set Over CAT6 UTP w/ IR Support 40 Meters | Extend HDMI over a 40-metre CAT6 UTP run

The defining choice is to carry HDMI over CAT6 UTP, with a stated reach of 40 metres. That makes this ACT extender set a practical option when your screen and HDMI source need to be farther apart than a short HDMI lead allows, and you’re planning to use CAT6 UTP for the link. It suits someone arranging a display connection across a room or along a longer cable route. The title identifies support for 4K, HDMI 1.4 and IR, so those are the points to weigh against your setup. In particular, consider the distance the cable needs to cover and whether IR support is useful to you. This is a purpose-specific piece of equipment: its appeal is the stated distance over CAT6 UTP, rather than extra functions or a collection of connection options.

Planning the cable run

Measure the route the cable will actually take, including the path around furniture, doorways or other obstacles. A straight-line estimate between the source and display can be shorter than the route you need to install. The 40-metre figure gives you a concrete distance to compare with that route; if your planned cable path exceeds it, this is not the right reach for the job. It’s also worth deciding what role IR support needs to play in your setup before choosing an extender. Those checks help keep the decision focused on the details that define this product: the HDMI connection, the CAT6 UTP cable route and the distance involved. If those match your plan, this set is built around the kind of extended link you’re looking to arrange.
