ACT DisplayPort 1.4 Cable 8K 3m

ACT DisplayPort 1.4 Cable 8K 3m | A 3-metre link for 8K DisplayPort setups

An 8K DisplayPort connection is what this cable is made for. The ACT DisplayPort 1.4 Cable is a 3-metre cable for connecting equipment with DisplayPort connections, such as a computer and a display. It suits a desk or home setup where the cable needs a little reach, and where an 8K-rated DisplayPort cable is the requirement. The title identifies it as DisplayPort 1.4 and 8K; it doesn’t give a refresh rate, so I wouldn’t use this listing to judge performance at a particular frame rate. The 3-metre length is a practical point to consider before routing it: measure the path between your equipment, including any distance around a desk or stand. If that run fits, this is a simple cable option for making the connection.

Choosing the right length

Three metres gives you more room to position connected equipment than a very short cable, but the best length depends on where the DisplayPort connections sit. Think about the route the cable will take, not just the straight-line gap. A cable that reaches comfortably is easier to place without pulling at the connection; extra length may need managing behind a desk. That’s the honest trade-off with a fixed-length cable.

Use the connection type as your guide: this is a DisplayPort cable, so it’s intended for equipment with DisplayPort connections. The 8K label makes it relevant when that resolution is part of your setup, while the 1.4 designation identifies the version given in the product name. For a straightforward DisplayPort run of up to three metres, those are the key details to match against your setup.
