ACT HDMI Repeater Up To 40METER 4K Support

ACT HDMI Repeater Up To 40METER 4K Support | Extend an HDMI run up to 40 metres

Its defining feature is the repeater design: it’s made to help carry an HDMI connection over a longer distance than a short cable run. The ACT HDMI Repeater is aimed at setups where the source and screen need to be placed apart, and the product title specifies a reach of up to 40 metres with 4K support. That makes its purpose clear: extending an HDMI connection while retaining support for 4K video. It’s a practical piece of kit to consider when a standard short run won’t reach your planned layout. The honest point to keep in mind is that “up to” describes the stated maximum, not a promise that every installation will achieve that distance. If your main requirement is a longer HDMI connection, this is the key information to weigh.

Thinking about the cable run

Start with the distance your setup needs to cover, then compare it with the repeater’s stated reach. The 40-metre figure gives you a clear upper limit to work from; it doesn’t tell you what length you need, so measure the route between the HDMI devices before choosing a solution. The product also states 4K support, which is relevant if that’s the video format you need to carry. Those are the two points this model’s name makes clear. Beyond them, it’s best to keep the decision simple: match the intended run and video requirement to the details given here, rather than assuming extra functions or a particular installation method.
