ACT USB-C 3.2 GEN2 Active Optical Cable (AOC) Connection Cable 10m

ACT USB-C 3.2 GEN2 Active Optical Cable (AOC) Connection Cable 10m | A 10m USB-C connection for longer runs

A short cable can dictate where connected equipment has to sit. This 10m ACT cable gives you more room to place the two ends where your setup needs them, rather than keeping them close together. It’s a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 connection cable, identified in its name as an Active Optical Cable (AOC). That makes it a specific option to consider when you’re planning a longer USB-C cable run. The stated length is 10 metres, so you can plan around a route that’s longer than a typical desk connection. Its job is straightforward: provide a cable connection across that distance. The honest caveat is that the title alone doesn’t tell us which devices or exact setup it supports, so I wouldn’t assume compatibility beyond the connection details given.

Planning a 10m cable run

Before routing the cable, measure the path between the connection points—not just the straight-line distance between them. Allow for the route you actually want to take around furniture or along a work area, and decide where each end needs to reach. That makes it easier to judge whether 10 metres suits your layout before you commit to the run. The USB-C and 3.2 Gen2 wording also gives you the connection details to compare with your setup. Keep the product name to hand when planning: it identifies this cable as an AOC, rather than leaving the cable type unspecified. Beyond those stated details, the fit depends on the equipment you intend to connect.
