Canon E2 Hand Strap
Canon E2 Hand Strap | A steadier hold for compatible Canon EOS cameras
The Canon E2 Hand Strap is a camera hand strap for carrying a compatible Canon EOS camera securely in your hand. Unlike a strap worn over the shoulder, it keeps the camera in your hand while you carry it, making it relevant for photographers who prefer to keep their camera close and ready. The supplier lists compatibility with a wide range of EOS bodies, from the EOS 1100D and EOS 550D to cameras in the EOS-1D and EOS-1Ds series. That range makes the E2 worth considering for owners of several different Canon EOS generations. Use it when carrying a camera between locations, or when you want a hand-held carry during a photo session. The strap attaches to the camera, and its stated purpose is to improve security and distribute the camera's weight more evenly. Its appeal is straightforward: a dedicated hand strap, with listed compatibility across many Canon EOS models.
Why it is useful
- Hand-held security: The E2 is made to secure a camera while you carry it in your hand. That added restraint is useful when you want to keep the camera close rather than carry it over your shoulder.
- Camera attachment: The strap attaches to the camera, giving you a dedicated hand-carry setup. The supplier describes attachment as easy, so fitting the strap is part of its simple, direct purpose.
- Weight distribution: The E2 is intended to spread the camera's weight more evenly. That matters when holding the camera for a session, rather than carrying it only for a moment.
- Broad EOS compatibility: The supplier's list covers Canon EOS models from several series and generations. See the Technical Specifications for the specific bodies named.
Specialist Note
There are 23 entries in the supplied compatibility list, which tells you the E2 isn't limited to a single EOS generation; two entries repeat models under slightly different naming. I’d look at this strap if you prefer carrying your camera in your hand and want a more secure hold than simply gripping the body. Attach it to a listed EOS camera for hand-held carry between locations, or keep the camera in hand during a session. The other useful detail is its stated weight distribution: that’s the point to consider for longer periods of holding the camera. It’s a hand strap, not a shoulder-carry option.
