Canon MP-101D 12x12 30 Sheets

Canon MP-101D 12x12 30 Sheets | Paper for square-format prints

Square-format prints give your images a different kind of presence: the frame feels balanced, and the composition has equal room across its sides. The Canon MP-101D is printer paper in a 12x12 format, supplied as 30 sheets. It suits anyone planning prints around a square image rather than a wider or taller layout, and is most useful when that shape is part of the picture’s design. Think portraits framed tightly, graphic images, or photographs composed with the subject near the centre. The format gives you a clear starting point for preparing an image for print. One practical point: the paper’s dimensions alone don’t tell you which printers can use it, so match the model to your printing setup before building a workflow around it. If you already know the format you need, this pack keeps the choice straightforward.

Planning a square print

A square frame changes how a photograph reads. With less emphasis on a horizontal sweep, the subject and the space around it carry more of the composition. When preparing an image, check the crop before printing: details near the edges can be lost if the image was originally framed for a different shape. For portraits, leave breathing room around the head and shoulders; for objects or graphic work, look at how the subject sits within the frame. These are general composition pointers, not special properties of the paper. They can help you decide which images are worth printing in a square format and which may work better in their original proportions. The useful thing here is having a defined size to plan against, rather than making a crop decision at the last minute.
