Caruba 320mm Magic Arm Extra Tough (w/ Inner Ball)
Caruba 320mm Magic Arm Extra Tough (w/ Inner Ball) | Position accessories where you need them
Position an accessory beside or above your tripod setup to make room for a less obstructed angle. The Caruba 320mm Magic Arm Extra Tough (w/ Inner Ball) is a tripod accessory with a 320mm arm, designed for setups where an accessory needs to sit away from the tripod itself. That reach can help when you’re arranging a tabletop scene or trying to keep an accessory clear of the subject in front of the camera. It’s aimed at photographers and video makers who want more freedom to position gear around a fixed tripod setup, rather than having everything clustered at one point. The arm’s name also identifies an inner ball, a detail that gives you an additional way to position it. Keep in mind that the product information here doesn’t specify a load rating, so I’d choose it for the positioning it offers rather than assume it will support a particular piece of equipment. Match it to an accessory and setup that suit your needs.
Specialist Note
The inner ball is a useful detail when you need to angle the arm, rather than simply place it in a straight line. I’d consider this for a tabletop setup where an accessory needs to sit above the subject, or offset to one side to leave your camera’s view clear. Start by positioning the arm, then make small adjustments at the ball until the accessory sits where you want it. The 320mm arm gives you a defined reach to work with, so think about the space around your tripod before choosing its position. It’s a focused accessory for adjusting placement; it won’t tell you whether a particular accessory or load suits your setup.
