Caruba Bowens To Profoto Mount Adapter

Caruba Bowens To Profoto Mount Adapter | Bridge two mount types

Your setup can bring Bowens and Profoto mounts into the same plan, without letting the difference between them dictate the whole arrangement. The Caruba Bowens To Profoto Mount Adapter is for photographers and lighting users working with equipment that uses these two named mount types. Its purpose, as its name indicates, is to provide an adapter between Bowens and Profoto mounts. That makes it relevant when you need to bridge the difference at the mounting point in a lighting setup. It’s best suited to that specific job; it doesn’t change the role of the other equipment in your setup. The practical benefit is having an adapter intended for the connection between these two mount types. One detail to keep in mind is the order in the product name: Bowens to Profoto. Match that direction to the arrangement you’re planning.

Planning a setup

It helps to think of this as a connection decision rather than a general-purpose accessory. Start by identifying which mount is present at each point in your setup, then consider where an adapter between Bowens and Profoto belongs. That simple check keeps the job clear: the aim is to bridge those mount types, not to make assumptions about every item that might be used alongside it. If your arrangement involves both, this product’s named conversion is the detail to focus on. Keep the description of the connection consistent as you plan, especially if you’re discussing the setup with someone else or keeping notes for later. The name gives a direct summary of its purpose, so there’s little need to dress it up: it’s an adapter for a Bowens-to-Profoto mount connection.
