Caruba Travelstar 143 Carbon Tripod

Caruba Travelstar 143 Carbon Tripod | Compact support for travel

A 360-degree ball head gives the Caruba Travelstar 143 Carbon Tripod flexible framing in a lightweight travel format. It’s a good match for photographers and videographers heading outdoors who want a tripod that can also convert to a monopod. The ball head’s full rotation is useful when composing a broad landscape or making a panorama, while the tripod provides a fixed camera position for long exposures, night photography and astrophotography. Its carbon-fibre construction keeps the support light to carry between viewpoints. For steady video, it offers a stable platform for a stationary shot; for landscape work, the adjustable head accommodates changes in framing across the scene. The conversion to a monopod adds another way to use the same support when a tripod stance isn’t suitable. It’s a travel-focused design with useful details for both stills and video, rather than a tripod limited to one kind of shoot.

On location

• Carbon-fibre construction: The lightweight material is welcome on walks between shooting spots, especially when your camera kit is already taking up space.
• 360-degree ball head: Turn the camera through a full circle to adjust your framing, including when working across a wide landscape.
• Level and degree scale: These built-in references support consistent camera alignment and measured rotations when creating panoramas.
• Monopod conversion: The tripod can be changed into a single-leg support, giving you another way to carry and position the camera.
• Counterweight hook: Attach a counterweight here when you want added weight on the support for a long-exposure setup.

Height and load

The tripod reaches a maximum working height of 143 cm and can be set as low as 34 cm. Folded, it measures 34 cm, a compact length for packing with travel equipment. Its maximum load as a tripod is 8 kg. These figures give you a clear sense of the height range and carrying capacity when planning a setup for landscapes, long exposures or video.
