Digit@l 27-37mm StepUp Ring

Digit@l 27-37mm StepUp Ring | Use a larger filter size

Using a larger-diameter filter on a smaller threaded opening is the job of a step-up ring. The Digit@l StepUp Ring is identified by its 27-to-37mm size change, giving you a straightforward way to bridge those two sizes. It suits photographers who want to use a filter with a larger thread size on an accessory opening with a smaller one. The practical benefit is simple: you can pair the two sizes without choosing a filter that matches the smaller opening exactly. That can make a difference when you already have a larger filter you’d like to use. A step-up ring won’t change the look of the filter itself; it provides the size connection needed to use it. The details here are deliberately spare, so the useful point is the one in the name: this ring steps up from 27mm to 37mm.

Understanding the size change

Step-up describes the direction of the change: the ring connects a smaller opening to a larger filter thread. In this case, the product title gives both measurements, so you can compare them with the sizes of the threaded opening and filter you plan to join. The ring is for that size transition; it doesn’t tell you anything about the filter’s effect on an image, or about the material or finish of the ring. Those details aren’t needed to understand its basic role. Match the two stated sizes to the parts you want to connect, and the purpose of this accessory is clear. It’s a small, specific solution for a size mismatch, rather than a filter in its own right.
