Digit@l 62-67mm StepUp Ring

Digit@l 62-67mm StepUp Ring | Use a larger filter on a smaller thread

The defining choice is the move from 62mm to 67mm: this step-up ring bridges those two filter-thread sizes, so a lens with the smaller front thread can take a larger filter. That’s the practical point of the Digit@l 62-67mm StepUp Ring. It suits photographers who already have a 67mm filter and want to use it on a lens with a 62mm thread, rather than buying another filter in the smaller size. It’s a small, specific adapter, not an optical accessory; its value is in joining the two sizes. If your lens and filter match that pairing, the job is simple. There’s no reason to expect the ring to change the image: it’s there to make the size connection, and that’s where it’s useful. For a kit with the right pairing, it offers a straightforward way to share a filter between setups.

Choosing it for your kit

A step-up ring makes sense when you want to keep using a filter you already own, but its usefulness depends on matching the lens thread and filter size. The product name tells you the intended pairing, so compare those sizes with the equipment you plan to connect it to. That’s the key decision here; the ring isn’t a general-purpose accessory for every lens or filter. If your equipment uses different thread sizes, this isn’t the right pairing. When the sizes do match, it gives you a direct physical connection between them. It’s a simple solution to a specific mismatch, and there’s no need to look for extra functions in it. The honest appeal is that it can save you from buying a second filter in another size when you already have the one you want to use.
