FALCAM Geartree Basic Extension Grip Arm 2747
FALCAM Geartree Basic Extension Grip Arm 2747 | Add an extension to your tripod setup
FALCAM has made this as an extension grip arm, rather than a complete support: its role is to add an extension point to a tripod-based setup. That focused format suits photographers who want to build out a camera-support arrangement without treating the arm itself as a tripod. It’s a specialist tripod accessory for considered setups, such as product photography or a fixed camera position, where the placement of equipment around the support matters. The name also makes the intended role clear: this is the Basic Extension Grip Arm in FALCAM’s Geartree range, model 2747. If you’re choosing a part for a particular setup, that exact name is useful when comparing accessories and keeping track of which component you need. It’s best understood as one building block for a tripod arrangement, not as a general-purpose support on its own.
Specialist Note
Photographers arranging small product scenes or a steady camera position will get the clearest sense of this arm’s purpose. As an extension grip arm, it’s intended to add reach within a tripod accessory setup; that can help keep a grip point separate from the main support when you’re arranging a scene. I’d consider it for a tabletop composition where you want to organise the support around the subject, or a fixed framing setup where equipment needs a different position. The model number, 2747, is worth keeping to hand when identifying this specific part. One practical limit: it’s an accessory, not a standalone tripod, so it makes sense as part of a support setup you already use.
