Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Panel LHC-36K 360x360cm

Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Panel LHC-36K 360x360cm | Keep light more controlled

Light that spreads beyond the area you want to illuminate can be hard to manage. The Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Panel LHC-36K is designed to help narrow that spread, giving photographers and other lighting users more control over where their light falls. Its honeycomb structure is the key: it limits spill compared with light left to spread freely. That makes it relevant when you want more direction rather than a broad wash of light. The stated size is 360 x 360 cm, so this is a substantial panel; it suits a setup where you have room to work with a panel of that scale. The honest consideration is that a large panel needs planning. Think about the space available and the area you want to control before choosing it.

Is this the right kind of light control?

A honeycomb panel is most useful when controlling spill matters more than spreading light widely. If your aim is to keep light directed towards a particular part of a scene, this type of panel addresses that need. If you want light to fill a space broadly, a honeycomb may not give you the result you’re after. That distinction is worth considering before you build your lighting setup around it. The 360 x 360 cm format also makes the working area an important part of the decision: allow for the panel’s footprint and consider where you want its controlled light to fall. The product name identifies it as the LHC-36K from Falcon Eyes, so it’s easy to keep the model reference to hand when planning or discussing your setup.
