Falcon Eyes Transmitter RF-DD2.4-T For RF-DD2.4
Falcon Eyes Transmitter RF-DD2.4-T For RF-DD2.4 | Trigger off-camera flash for creative lighting
Getting a flash away from the camera can make a portrait or product setup harder to organise. The Falcon Eyes RF-DD2.4-T is a flash trigger transmitter made for the RF-DD2.4 system, giving you a way to fire off-camera flashes for those kinds of shoots. It suits photographers who want to work with flash placed separately from the camera, rather than relying on a flash mounted on it. For portraits, that can help you place light where it shapes the subject; for product shots, it gives you room to arrange the light around the item. Its purpose is specific and practical: trigger off-camera flash as part of a lighting setup. If you already use the RF-DD2.4 system, this transmitter is the relevant piece for sending that trigger.
A focused tool for flash setups
Think about this transmitter as part of the link between your camera setup and the flash you want to fire off-camera. Once the flash is positioned separately, you can adjust its placement to suit the subject: try a portrait with the light coming from one side, or reposition it around a product to change how its surface catches the light. The transmitter is for triggering, so the creative decisions still come from where you place the flash and how you arrange the scene.
Specialist Note
This is a focused transmitter, not a flash that lights the scene itself; that’s exactly why it makes sense when your RF-DD2.4 setup needs a trigger. I’d consider it for portraits where you want the flash positioned away from the camera, or for product work where moving the light helps you manage reflections and shape. Start with the flash off to one side for a portrait, then shift its position until the light suits the face. For a small product, try moving the flash around the subject and watch how the highlights change. It’s a specific tool for firing off-camera flashes, so it suits photographers building that kind of setup.
