Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p ND64 Filter - Black
Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p ND64 Filter - Black | Cut bright light for daytime video
The ND64 density is the defining choice here: it reduces the light reaching your Osmo Pocket, which is useful when bright conditions would otherwise push you towards a very fast shutter speed. This filter is for Osmo Pocket owners who want more control over exposure outdoors, especially when recording video in strong daylight. Use it when filming a sunlit walk, a bright street scene or other daytime footage where you’d like to keep your chosen shutter speed rather than let the light dictate it. It’s a focused accessory, not a general-purpose fix for every lighting situation; in dim conditions, reducing the light further may be unhelpful. The product name identifies the filter as ND64 and its finish as black. If you often record in bright surroundings, that clear, specific purpose is what makes it worth considering.
Specialist Note
In hard daylight, an ND64 gives you a way to bring exposure down without immediately changing the shutter speed you want for your video. The rating corresponds to six stops of light reduction, so I’d save it for genuinely bright scenes rather than leave it on as an everyday filter. It suits Osmo Pocket users filming outdoors: try it for a sunlit walk or a bright open-air event, then set exposure for the look you want. The black finish keeps the accessory visually understated. One thing to bear in mind: six stops is a substantial cut, so it can be too much once the light drops or you move into shade.
