Godox Omnibounce TT660/TT680

Godox Omnibounce TT660/TT680: Soften and spread flash light

Hard, direct flash can leave distracting shadows and skin tones that look less natural. The Godox Omnibounce TT660/TT680 is a plastic diffuser for the Godox TT685 and V860 flash units, intended to soften and spread their light. That makes it useful for portraits, where a gentler look on skin matters, and for scenes where a hard shadow against the background would pull attention away from the subject. It also suits everyday flash work when you want the light distributed rather than concentrated in a harsher beam. The Omnibounce is a small, straightforward accessory: there are no extra functions to learn, and it attaches easily to the flash. Its appeal is focused on the effect it has on the flash output, rather than adding controls or changing how you operate the unit. If your main frustration is hard flash, this diffuser addresses that directly.

Highlights

• Softens flash light: The diffuser takes the edge off direct flash, giving portraits and nearby subjects a gentler look. That’s useful when bare flash feels too stark for the scene.
• Spreads the light: Its purpose is to distribute the flash output rather than leave it as concentrated. This is helpful for scenes where a broad, softened effect is preferable to a hard pool of light.
• Reduces hard background shadows: The softened output helps limit the sharp shadows that direct flash can leave behind a subject. This matters particularly when the background is visible in the frame.
• More natural-looking skin tones: Godox describes the diffuser as producing more natural skin-tone rendering. That makes it a relevant accessory for portraits, where the look of faces is central to the image.
• Plastic construction: The Omnibounce is made from plastic. It keeps the accessory simple in form, with its job focused on modifying the flash rather than adding another control or feature to the flash unit.
• Easy to attach: The diffuser is described as easy to fit. That straightforward attachment is useful when you want to add the light-softening accessory to a compatible flash without a complicated setup.
