Hama Network Cable CAT-8 40 GBIT/s S/FTP Afgeschermd 1.5 M

Hama Network Cable CAT-8 40 Gbit/s S/FTP Shielded 1.5 m | A short, shielded network link

A long cable can leave a tangle behind a desk, while a short one may not reach the equipment you need to connect. This Hama CAT-8 network cable is 1.5 metres long, making it suited to a nearby wired connection where you want to keep spare cable to a minimum. It’s marked for 40 Gbit/s and has S/FTP shielding, so the key details are right there in the name: a CAT-8 cable, a stated speed, and a shielded design. The black finish is discreet alongside dark equipment. For a compact desk or a connection between nearby network devices, its length is the practical point to consider first. It won’t provide much slack for a route around a room, but that’s also why it can help avoid a coil of unused cable at the connection.

Made for a nearby connection

Think about the distance between the two connection points before choosing this cable. At 1.5 metres, it’s better suited to equipment placed close together than to a run that needs to follow a wall or reach across a room. That makes it a sensible size to consider for a tidy, direct link on or around a desk, provided the devices are within reach. The stated 40 Gbit/s figure gives you a clear reference when comparing cable ratings; it doesn’t tell you what speed your complete network will deliver. That depends on the connected equipment and setup. If your priority is a longer route, this isn’t the length to pick. For a short link, you get a clearly identified CAT-8 cable with shielding, without excess cable to bundle away.
