Hama Optical Audio Cable ODT-Connector (TosLink) 3.0 M

Hama Optical Audio Cable ODT-Connector (TosLink) 3.0 M | Connect audio equipment across a room

For linking audio equipment with an optical TosLink connection, this cable gives you room to position the devices apart. The Hama Optical Audio Cable ODT-Connector (TosLink) 3.0 M is a 3-metre optical audio cable with TosLink connectors. It suits a setup where the equipment isn’t right beside the other device, such as when components sit on separate shelves. The black finish is unobtrusive among other cables. Its job is specific: carry an audio connection between TosLink sockets. If your devices use that connection and the cable route fits within its length, this is a straightforward option. A cable won’t solve a mismatch in connections, so the socket type is the detail to get right.

Think about the route between the two devices before you connect them. Allow enough slack for the cable to reach without pulling, and leave it easy to access if you need to move equipment later. A tidy path around the back of a shelf can make the setup easier to manage; avoid trapping the cable under furniture or placing a heavy object on it. Those are simple practical details, but they matter when you’re arranging equipment in a tight space. The cable’s black colour can blend in with dark shelving and other leads, though it won’t disappear against every surface. For a longer run, measure the path rather than the straight-line distance between the sockets.
