Ilford Hi Crystaljet Glossy RC 111.8cmx30.5m 1 Rol

Ilford Hi Crystaljet Glossy RC 111.8cmx30.5m 1 Rol | Glossy photo paper in a wide roll

Your prints have a glossy surface, with a broad roll format for photo printing. Ilford Hi Crystaljet Glossy RC comes as one roll measuring 111.8cm wide and 30.5m long. That makes it suited to photographers and print workflows that call for a wide supply of glossy photo paper, rather than a pack of individual sheets. The finish is part of the look: glossy paper catches light, so it can bring reflections into how a print appears under bright lamps or behind glass. I’d choose this roll when the glossy finish and roll format are what your work calls for, rather than buying by habit. The product name gives you the key points at a glance: Ilford Hi Crystaljet, Glossy RC, and the roll dimensions.

The width is worth considering before you make space for a roll in your printing workflow. At 111.8cm, this is a broad format; the 30.5m length gives you a substantial run of paper in a single roll. That can suit ongoing printing better than repeatedly handling separate sheets, provided a roll format matches the way you work. The honest trade-off is that glossy surfaces can reflect their surroundings, so the finish may not be your preference for every image or display space. If you already have a particular print in mind, think about how its glossy surface will look where it’ll be viewed. This is a straightforward choice when those dimensions and that finish are the reasons you’re shopping.
