Ilford MGFB1K Classic 30.5x40.6cm 10V | Choose your print size with confidence

Ilford MGFB1K Classic 30.5x40.6cm 10V is photo paper in a 30.5 × 40.6 cm sheet size. It’s for photographers and printmakers who have a particular finished print size in mind and want to choose paper around it. Its clearest use is straightforward: making prints planned for this sheet size. The product name also gives you the MGFB1K Classic designation and the 10V label, so you can identify the paper by its full name when comparing options or placing it in a paper list. For a print project, start by checking the intended image area against the sheet you’re selecting. That helps you decide how much room you’ll have for the image and any border you plan to leave. This is a specific-format paper, so the dimensions are the detail I’d use first when deciding whether it fits your job.

Planning around the sheet

Think about the finished print, rather than just the image on your screen. If you want the picture to run right to the edges, its proportions need to suit the paper; if you prefer a border, allow for that space when laying out the image. Trimming may also change the final print dimensions. These are useful checks for any print planned around a particular sheet size, and they help you judge whether this paper suits the result you have in mind before you begin. Keep the full product name to hand if you’re matching it to a paper list or ordering the same item again. The name is specific, while the sheet dimensions give you the practical reference for planning the print.
