JJC DLP-2 Deluxe Lens Pouch: Carry a spare lens on your belt or bag
Keep a spare lens close at hand on a belt or bag strap, ready when you want to change focal lengths. The JJC DLP-2 Deluxe Lens Pouch is a nylon lens pouch with an interior measuring 80 × 135 mm. It fits lenses with an outside diameter and height below those measurements, giving you a clear size guide for choosing what to carry. The thick lining cushions the lens against knocks as you move between locations. Carry a second lens alongside your camera, keep an alternate focal length ready during a walk, or pack an extra optic with the rest of your kit. The pouch’s belt loop attaches to a trouser belt or a bag strap, while a separate carry strap is supplied for carrying the pouch on its own. Its large, weather-resistant zippers close the opening, and the double-fastening belt loop stays shut while you’re on the move.
Carry and Protection
- Nylon construction: The sturdy nylon outer gives the pouch a robust covering for carrying a lens outside your camera bag.
- Thick padded lining: The cushioned interior absorbs some impact from knocks, adding a protective layer around the lens.
- Double-fastening belt loop: Attach the pouch to a belt or bag strap. Two Velcro fastenings help keep the loop closed during travel.
- Large, weather-resistant zippers: The zippers are sized for easy handling and offer added resistance to the weather at the pouch opening.
- Separate carry strap: The supplied strap gives you another way to carry the pouch when you don’t want to attach it to a belt or bag strap.
Specialist Note
The DLP-2 keeps a spare lens attached to your belt instead of buried at the bottom of a camera bag. At 114 g, the pouch adds a known, modest amount of weight to the kit you’re carrying. For a walk with an alternate lens, place the lens inside and fasten the loop around your belt so it’s close by when you want to change focal lengths. The interior limit of 80 × 135 mm is important: this pouch is for lenses smaller than those measurements, not larger ones. I’d also consider the supplied carry strap when you want to carry the pouch separately from your bag.
Good to know
The pouch measures 105 × 162 mm externally, so allow for that footprint when packing it alongside your camera and other accessories. Its black finish is understated and easy to pair with a camera bag. The outside measurements are useful for working out where the pouch will sit when carried inside a larger bag; the lens fit is determined by the smaller interior dimensions.
