This K&F Concept filter combines a circular polariser (CPL) with variable neutral density, so you can manage reflected light and reduce the amount of light reaching the camera with one filter. It suits photographers and videographers who want more control outdoors, particularly when changing filters would interrupt a shot. The CPL function is useful when reflections are part of the problem; the variable ND function gives you room to adjust exposure without relying only on shutter speed or aperture. It’s a practical combination for landscapes, reflective surfaces and video in bright conditions. As with any polariser, the effect depends on the angle of the light and your camera’s position, so small adjustments are worth making as you frame.
Specialist Note
A CPL isn’t a neutral dimmer: it changes reflected light as well as exposure. That trade-off is why this combined filter makes sense when you want both effects without swapping filters. The ND2-ND32 range gives you about one to five stops of light reduction, which is useful outdoors; for 25 fps video, for example, set 1/50 s and use the ND adjustment to manage brightness. The 77mm size means it’s for a lens with a matching filter thread. I’d point this out to anyone filming or photographing reflective water or glass in daylight: use the CPL effect for the reflections, then adjust the ND for exposure.
