Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 86mm
Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 86mm | UV filtering for 86mm lens setups
Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 86mm is an 86mm UV-filter kit, built for photographers whose lens has a matching filter thread. It suits outdoor shooters who want a UV filter as part of their lens setup, especially when photographing distant landscapes where atmospheric haze can affect the view. UV filters are intended to limit ultraviolet light reaching the image; the 86mm size gives you a clear point to check against your lens before choosing it. The product name also identifies it as part of Kase’s Revolution Plus range and as a Mega Kit, so it’s aimed at shoppers considering a kit rather than a filter described on its own. Its most specific use is straightforward: fit the correctly sized filter to a compatible lens and use it for outdoor scenes where UV filtering is relevant. The diameter matters here: a different filter-thread size won’t match.
Specialist Note
Setup starts with one simple check: your lens needs an 86mm filter thread for this filter size to fit. That makes the choice clear, but it also means the number is important—don’t treat it as a general fit for every lens. As a UV filter, it’s intended for outdoor scenes; I’d consider it for distant landscape views where UV haze is a concern. The “Mega Kit” name identifies this as a kit, while “Revolution Plus” places it in Kase’s range. For a photographer already using an 86mm lens, it’s a relevant option to consider for that specific UV-filtering role. If your lens has another thread size, this isn’t the right match.
