Kenko Celeste UV 46mm

Kenko Celeste UV 46mm | Straightforward UV filtering for a 46mm lens

Without a filter, you’re shooting through the bare lens; the Kenko Celeste UV 46mm adds a UV filter in front. It’s for photographers who want UV filtering and have a lens that takes a 46mm filter. That size is the key detail when choosing it: the filter needs to match the lens’s filter size, not just the camera body. For outdoor photography, it gives you a simple way to add a UV filter to your setup without changing how you frame or operate the camera. It’s also a focused option rather than an effects filter: its stated purpose is UV filtering. There’s no information here to make claims about its materials, coatings or optical performance, so I’d keep expectations to that job. If you’re looking for a specific change to colour or contrast, this isn’t described as a filter for that.

Choosing the right size

The 46mm figure is the practical starting point. Match it to the filter size specified for your lens; a camera’s model name alone doesn’t tell you whether this filter will fit. If your lens takes a different filter size, this one won’t be the direct match. Once fitted to a compatible lens, it’s a simple option for photographers who want a UV filter in their regular outdoor setup. Keep the choice tied to the lens size and the UV-filtering purpose, rather than expecting a particular creative effect.
