Laowa Proteus Flex 2X Anamorphic 3 Lens Bundle Set B (35mm 60mm 100mm) (Meters)
Laowa Proteus Flex 2X Anamorphic 3 Lens Bundle Set B (35mm 60mm 100mm) (Meters) | Three focal lengths for cinematic storytelling
Choosing a 2x anamorphic design gives this set its distinct cinematic approach: the lens records a squeezed image that’s desqueezed for a wider-looking frame. The Laowa Proteus Flex bundle brings three focal lengths together—35mm, 60mm and 100mm—so a cinema crew can change framing and perspective by changing lenses, rather than relying on a zoom. It’s an interchangeable lens kit with manual focus, suited to filmmakers who want to make deliberate choices on set and work with a focus puller. The different focal lengths give you room to shape a scene: use the shorter option for a broader view, or move to the longer one for tighter framing from the same position. This set is best for narrative and visual projects where the anamorphic character is part of the look, and where the team can take time to focus and compose each shot.
Specialist Note
On a quiet interior set, a conversation shifts from the full room to a close portrait. This kit gives the crew three distinct focal lengths for that change: the 35mm takes in more of the space, while the 100mm gives the tightest framing from the same camera position; the 60mm sits between them. I’d treat the 2x anamorphic design as a creative decision, not just a format label—the recorded image needs desqueezing for its intended wide presentation. Manual focus suits a planned focus pull, and the distance markings in meters help the operator and focus puller communicate consistently. It’s a focused tool for crews who value that workflow; it won’t provide autofocus convenience.
