Lastolite Skylite Rapid Fabric Large 200x200cm Silver/White

Lastolite Skylite Rapid Fabric Large 200x200cm Silver/White | A broad surface for shaping reflected light

When a small reflector leaves you struggling to control light across a larger scene, a 200 × 200 cm screen gives you more area to work with. This Lastolite Skylite Rapid fabric is a reflector screen for photographers who want to shape reflected light over a wider part of their subject or setup. Its listed colour is silver, and the product name identifies the version as Silver/White. That makes it worth considering when you want a large-format reflector fabric rather than a compact hand-held panel. It suits portrait sessions, product work or other shoots where you can position a screen near the subject and adjust the light by changing its angle. The honest trade-off is its size: a two-metre square takes room to place and manoeuvre. If your working space can accommodate it, that broad surface gives you scope to work on a larger area at once.

Making use of a large reflector

Start by looking at the light already available, then place the screen where it can return some of that light towards the part of the scene you want to brighten. Small changes in angle can make a visible difference, so move it gradually and watch the subject rather than relying on a fixed position. For a portrait, that might mean aiming the reflected light towards the face; for a tabletop scene, it could mean bringing light back onto a shaded area. The screen’s generous dimensions are most relevant when the subject or composition needs broader coverage. If you’re working in a tight room, think about where the screen can sit before you begin; there’s less freedom to reposition a surface this size than a small reflector. It’s a straightforward tool, but a little time spent adjusting its position can help you find a more even-looking result.
