Light Widow Fizlock Universal Motor Mounting System (Gold)
Light Widow Fizlock Universal Motor Mounting System (Gold) | A dedicated mount for motorised camera builds
Light Widow Fizlock Universal Motor Mounting System (Gold) is a universal motor mounting system with a gold finish. It’s intended for camera operators and crew assembling a motorised camera build that calls for a dedicated motor mount. The product’s stated role is straightforward: it’s a mounting system, not a filter or an image effect. “Universal” points to a broad-use approach, making it relevant when planning a rig around a motor rather than a particular named camera setup. The gold finish gives the component a distinct appearance among the parts of a build. This is a specialist rig accessory, so its value is in the job it’s intended to do, not in changing your footage. If your setup needs a motor mounting system, this is the product to consider; the exact place it has in your build will depend on the arrangement you’re putting together.
Specialist Note
On a studio floor before the first setup, the crew is laying out the camera build and setting aside a place for a motor mount. I’d look at the Fizlock here for its clearly stated role: it’s a universal motor mounting system, rather than an accessory that changes the image. That universal designation suggests a broad-use approach, which is useful when the rig is being planned around a motor. The gold finish is a visible detail, so the part is easy to pick out among the build components. I’d consider it for a motorised camera arrangement that needs one dedicated mounting system. One honest point: “universal” is a broad label, not a numbered compatibility promise, so I’d want to know the motor and rig involved before advising on a specific setup.
