Lowepro ProTactic TLZ 75 Slim AW III: Protect a full-frame camera and telephoto lens
Camera gear loose in a larger work bag can pick up scratches and knocks; the Lowepro ProTactic TLZ 75 Slim AW III keeps a camera kit enclosed in its own 4.5-litre protective case. For outdoor event work, it fits a full-frame body without a grip and a non-extending 70–200mm f/2.8 lens, keeping a long zoom close at hand. An expandable section accommodates a lens hood left in shooting position, while the flap folds to the side for access to the camera grip. The quick-release buckle opens fast between moments. Inside, the divider can hold the camera high for quick removal or split the space for a two-lens setup. Use it as a dedicated case for an outdoor assignment or place it inside a larger bag to keep camera equipment separate from other items. It’s a slim, top-loading option for working photographers moving between event positions.

- Shoulder or chest carry: Primary and secondary shoulder straps offer different ways to carry the case. A stabilizer strap helps limit swinging while you move.
- 38 mm belt tunnel: Attach it to a standard 38 mm belt or a ProTactic III belt for waist carry. It’s also compatible with the optional ProTactic Utility Belt III and the straps on ProTactic BP 350 III and BP 450 III backpacks.

Specialist Note
At an outdoor event, I’d start with the TLZ 75 on a 38 mm belt if I wanted the camera close while moving between positions. The 550 g empty weight keeps the case itself light to carry, before you add the camera and lens. For quick changes during event coverage, the side-opening flap leaves the grip accessible, and the buckle gives you a direct way into the case. I’d also consider chest carry when fast access matters. The listed fit is specifically for a body without a grip, so this isn’t the case I’d choose for a gripped camera body.
What fits inside
The main interior measures 14 × 10.5 × 37 cm, with a separate front pocket measuring 11.5 × 3 × 21 cm for small accessories. The case measures 16 × 15.5 × 38 cm externally, or 16 × 15.5 × 31 cm when folded. Those dimensions give you a clear sense of the slim shape and the space set aside for items you want separate from the camera compartment.
