Marumi DHG UV Filter 86 mm

Marumi DHG UV Filter 86 mm | Straightforward UV filtration for a matching lens

Finding a filter that fits your lens can be frustrating when the diameter is easy to overlook. The Marumi DHG UV Filter is a straightforward option for photographers who want UV filtration in a specific size, rather than a filter intended to create a special effect. Its purpose is to filter ultraviolet light, so it suits someone who has chosen UV filtration for a lens with a matching filter thread. There’s no need to expect it to change your framing or add a creative effect: this is a simple, purpose-led filter. When deciding if it’s right for your setup, start with the lens’s filter-thread size and the kind of filter you want. It’s a clear choice when UV filtration is the aim and the fit matches.

Getting the fit right

The filter diameter refers to the thread at the front of a lens, not the camera body or sensor. Match that measurement to the filter before buying: the listed 86 mm size suits a lens with the same filter-thread diameter. If your lenses have different thread sizes, this filter won’t directly fit each one. It’s a specific-size purchase, not a universal accessory, so the lens’s thread marking is the useful detail to check.
