Marumi Grey Filter DHG ND32 67 mm

Marumi Grey Filter DHG ND32 67 mm | Gain five stops of light control

A fast stream can become a softer band of water, while a bright outdoor scene gives you more room to use a wider aperture. The Marumi Grey Filter DHG ND32 reduces the light reaching your camera by five stops, letting you choose a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture without changing the scene itself. It suits photographers who want deliberate control over exposure in daylight, especially for flowing water, moving clouds or portraits with a more open aperture. The 67 mm size is the key detail when matching it to a lens: the lens needs to accept 67 mm filters. Think of this as a strong, fixed light reduction rather than a general-purpose filter for every lighting condition. It’s most useful when the available light would otherwise limit the shutter speed or aperture you want.

What five stops means

ND32 cuts the incoming light to one thirty-second. For example, an exposure of 1/1000 second can be extended to about 1/30 second while keeping the exposure similar. That’s enough to show movement in water, provided you set the shutter speed yourself and keep the camera steady. The same light reduction can also help you keep a wider aperture in bright conditions.
