Meike Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF To EOS-R
Meike Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF To EOS-R | Use EF lenses on EOS-R
Keep your EF lenses in your camera kit when moving to an EOS-R camera, with a drop-in filter mount built into the adapter. The Meike Drop-In Filter Mount Adapter EF To EOS-R is for photographers who want that lens-to-camera connection and a filter position in the adapter, rather than treating those as separate parts of their setup. It’s especially relevant if you already own EF lenses and want to keep using them on an EOS-R body. The product name gives two useful details at a glance: the lens side is EF, and the camera side is EOS-R. It also identifies the mount as a drop-in filter type. That makes this a specific adapter for a defined combination, rather than a general-purpose accessory. It doesn’t tell you which filter effect to expect; that depends on the filter used.
Choosing this adapter
Think about the lens and camera you plan to connect: this adapter is named for EF lenses and EOS-R cameras. The drop-in filter mount may suit a setup where you want filtration at the adapter. If your main goal is simply to connect those lens and camera mounts, that same design is part of the product; the name alone doesn’t identify a particular filter or its effect. Matching the adapter to your actual kit is the key decision here.
Specialist Note
One adapter gives you the EF-to-EOS-R connection, which is the practical point if you want to keep an EF lens in use with an EOS-R camera. The other detail I’d pay attention to is “drop-in filter mount”: filtration is part of the adapter’s design, so it’s worth considering if you want a filter in that position in your setup. I’d point an EF-lens owner toward it when adapting that lens for EOS-R use, including for outdoor scenes where filtration matters to their approach. Just keep in mind that the adapter name doesn’t specify a filter or the effect it will produce; that depends on the filter you use.
