Mentter HD CPL 37mm
Mentter HD CPL 37mm | Reduce reflections in bright scenes
Without a polarizing filter, reflections from water, glass and shiny leaves can compete with the subject in your photo. The Mentter HD CPL 37mm is a circular polarizing filter for photographers who want more control over those reflections and the look of a blue sky. It’s particularly useful for landscapes, waterside views and scenes shot through windows, where glare can hide colour and detail. Turn the filter while looking at the scene to find the effect you prefer; the change is visible as you adjust it. The 37mm size is for a lens with a matching filter thread, so it’s important to match that measurement before choosing a filter. A polarizer’s effect depends on the light and your shooting angle, so it won’t remove every reflection. It’s a practical tool when glare is the distraction you want to manage.
Specialist Note
At a pond or beside a shop window, I’d use the Mentter’s 37mm size only if it matches the lens’s filter thread, then turn the CPL while watching the reflected scene. That lets you judge the change directly rather than guessing from the label. The circular polarizer designation is the key here: it’s intended for adjusting reflections, which can help reveal colour beneath surface glare. I’d suggest it to someone who often photographs water, foliage or glass and wants that adjustment at the lens. One honest limitation: the result varies with the light and your angle, so a polarizer can’t erase every reflection.
