Mentter HD CPL 62mm

Mentter HD CPL 62mm | Reduce reflections and deepen skies

Reduce reflections from water or glass and bring more depth to a blue sky with a polarizing filter. The Mentter HD CPL 62mm is a circular polarizing filter with a 62mm diameter, suited to photographers who want more control over reflected light in their outdoor pictures. Turn the filter while looking through the viewfinder or at the screen and watch the effect change; this lets you choose how much reflection remains in the frame. It can be especially helpful when reflections distract from what’s beneath the water’s surface, or when a bright sky looks pale beside the landscape. The result depends on the light and your position, so the effect won’t be equally strong in every scene. If your lens takes 62mm filters, this size gives you a direct way to add polarization when the scene calls for it.

Where a polarizer helps

For a stream or pond, adjust the filter until the surface reflection eases and more detail below it becomes visible. With a blue sky, try the filter from different angles and keep the setting that gives the sky the depth you want. Polarization changes the look of reflected light, so use it selectively: sometimes a reflection is part of the picture, not a distraction.
