MID49 M49-BSL-LW23-AC7BASELINE 15mm LW Red V-Raptor Baseplate
MID49 M49-BSL-LW23-AC7BASELINE 15mm LW Red V-Raptor Baseplate | A 15mm LW base for RED V-RAPTOR builds
When you’re putting a RED V-RAPTOR on a tripod as part of a 15mm LW setup, this MID49 baseplate gives you a purpose-made base for that combination. It’s a specialist tripod accessory for camera crews and operators building around the RED V-RAPTOR, particularly when their rig calls for 15mm lightweight support. The product name identifies both the camera system and the rod standard, so its role is clear: it’s the baseplate for a RED V-RAPTOR build using 15mm LW. That makes it relevant when you want the camera’s base and your chosen support arrangement to work as one setup, rather than treating the tripod connection and rod configuration as separate jobs. It’s a focused piece of rigging equipment, not a general-purpose plate. If your setup isn’t based on a RED V-RAPTOR and 15mm LW, this is not the baseplate to choose.
Specialist Note
This baseplate gives a RED V-RAPTOR rig a 15mm LW foundation without relying on an improvised arrangement. The 15mm LW designation matters when your build is planned around that rod standard: choose this plate as the base of that setup, then keep the rest of the rig consistent with it. It’s specifically named for the RED V-RAPTOR, so it suits operators building that camera into a tripod-supported configuration, whether for a locked-off interview frame or a repeatable studio position. I’d keep the decision simple: it’s a targeted fit for this camera system and rod format, not a flexible plate for unrelated builds. If your rig uses another support standard, this isn’t the right match.
